I've lost my marbles

This comic made me laugh today. Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. My marbles have been lost for quite some time now.

Jammin Java's New Creed (or lack thereof)

This is for my local friends. Most of you are familiar with the coffeehouse Jammin Java in Vienna, VA. For a long time, it was a Christian owned coffeehouse trying to be a positive influence in the area while serving up good coffee and live shows. For the past three years (since late 2001), it has been taken over by new owners. You can't really tell on the surface that things have changed, except that now they sell beer, which is very exciting. :) But today I went in to get some tickets for an upcoming show, and they put my purchase in a Jammin Java envelope. Apparantly, this is the same stationary from before the new ownership change three years ago. As you can see below, they have blacked out something with a magic marker on each envelope to save money instead of getting new stationary. I thought it was rather tacky. It's one thing to cross out your old address, but this...

Help!

To the one person that reads my blog, I apologize. It's been way too long since my last post and I have no excuse other than pure laziness and apathy and I don't think those count as good excuses, do you?

Onto today's post. Please help out with the Tsunami relief effort. Please. Even if you can only afford $5, every bit will help. As of this morning, the death toll is at 67,000 and counting. Amazon.com and Apple.com have both changed their home page to solely help out with the Tsunami relief effort. (If only our churches could be as fast on the ball.)

Please give. Please. Use it as your tithe for this month.

Please.

Be sure to designate donation for "International Response Fund"

New Species of Monkey Found in India

What the ?#$? A new type of monkey has been discovered in India. It's the year 2004, I thought we had a pretty good idea of what is on our planet by now. I think this is further confirmation of the possibilities of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster! And dinosaurs on a deserted island in the tropics!

Blockbuster Video drops late fees!

This is amazing! Blockbuster has just announced that they are doing away with late fees! Rentals will still have dues dates, but no late fee will be charged if the rental is returned late. Users will be given a week 'grace period', after that, they will be charged for the movie. If they don't want the movie, they have 30 days to return it for a refund.

My laptop has betrayed me

According to a recent news story, laptops have been found to increase risk of infertility in men. Dang. I use my laptop so often, it's like an extra arm. And now I find out that it has betrayed me!? I guess it doesn't matter anyway, since I'll probably never get married. But still, I don't like the idea of my boys not being able to swim!

See full news story here.

Alias coming soon!

The new season of Alias is just around the corner! They made us wait until January, but it will be worth it. New season starts Wednesday, Jan 5. That's right, new night.

If you haven't seen the new promo, you MUST check it out below by clicking on the picture. It's pretty stinkin hot.

Subway has new toasted subs!

For those that haven't caught on to this yet, Subway has started offering to toast your sub. They can stick any sub in their toast-o-matic oven. It makes a good sandwich a great sandwich! :)

That's all I have. Pretty pathetic eh? I'm going to blame it on the holidays. Yeah, that's rich, blaming my lack of creativity and original thought on the birth of our Savior. Nice trevor. Nice.

You will pay

I will hunt you down and find you. I am talking to the person that either late last night or early this morning came into my office and replaced my working stapler with their broken stapler. That wasn't very nice of you. You didn't even try to hide it. The broken stapler was left sprawled out in pieces mocking me. You also took my favorite yellow ruled sticky pad.

You are probably one of the big shot sales guys in my hall that thinks they are God's gift to the world. Well you better start trembling. My dormant Marine combat training is about to come out of hibernation and go completely ballistic on your sorry butt.

I feel better now. :)
