I spent this past weekend up in Thousand Oaks, CA. I was in a rush when packing for the trip to get on the road and the stupid washing machine in my apartment complex kept quitting because of a 'unbalanced load'. Apparantly you have to put just the right combination of clothes for the washing machine to accept the correct balance. Well, because of the longer washing time, I didn't have time to dry my shorts before the trip. So, I figured I would just put them on top of my truck to let them dry on the way. Let me explain. I have a Nissan Xterra that has what Nissan calls a "Gear Box" on the roof. It's not covered, but has a windscreen in front of it. In the past I have accidentally left a towel up on the roof and drove for days with it up there before I realized it. So, I figured the wind guard keeps whatever you put up there from blowing off. With this in mind, I put my shorts and shirt up there to dry for the trip. My shorts didn't make it. They were my favorite gym shorts. I lost my shorts on the 405. Somewhere near the 605 interchange. So, if you find a green pair of Fila long shorts with white stripes on the bottom on the 405, please contact me and I'll work out some sort of reward. :)
